The picture display area is slightly smaller than the photo size by 0.25 inch on each side, for holding purposes (e.g, 6x9 frame has picture display area of 6.5 x 8.5 inch). The frame itself is larger than the picture size by 0.75 inch on each side (e.g, 6x9 frame has outer frame dimension of 7.5 x 10.5 inch).
